Regarding tax audit report

due to last minute if someone has committed a mistake in the audit report like amount mentioned in the turnover is more and tin no has been mentioned wrong in it. Whether he can revise his tax audit report ..what are the consequences of revising the report.

TAR should not be normally revised . However, it can be revised if need be. Care should be taken while revising it and SA 560-Subsequet events - should be followed.

Moreover, the auditor should also give reason as to need to revise the report in the report itself and be prepared to to give answers regarding any change made in the report.

It will affect the tax implications, etc of the client in the same way as TAR does. And there would be more detailed scrutiny of accounts and audit report.
