Itr filing queries

I had filed my original ITR on 27-JUL-2016 for the assessment year 16-17 and did not e-verify it. On 30 Jul, I filed a revised ITR as i realized i had missed out on something with section as 139(5). Now i have a few questions : 1) Can i again file a revised ITR.If yes will it be with the same section and what would be my acknowledgement number and date(original or of 1st revised return) 2) "Income Under Salary" under the Tax Details was autopopulated from the PAN database and doesnt match with my form 16 figure (It is including the 25000 of Conveyance exemption and Tax on employement) .Should this figure be changed to the form 16 figure of "Income chargeable under the head 'Salaries' " I presume "Income from Salary/Pension" under Income Details should match with "Income under Salary" under Tax details. Please guide. Thanks in advance.

yeah you can file revised return even without e verifying it !!

Then what is the significance of e verification...

first e-verify of your original return and then revise it

1) Can i again file a revised ITR.If yes will it be with the same section and what would be my acknowledgement number and date(original or of 1st revised return)

If you have discovered any omission or any wrong statement in already filed ITR, you may furnish a revised return
acknowledgement number and date of Original Return in  (A25) ( If revised/defective, then enter Receipt No. and Date of filing original return (DD/MM/YYYY)) is required to filled.

2) "Income Under Salary" under the Tax Details was auto populated from the PAN database and doesnt match with my form 16 figure (It is including the 25000 of Conveyance exemption and Tax on employement) .Should this figure be changed to the form 16 figure of "Income chargeable under the head 'Salaries' " I presume "Income from Salary/Pension" under Income Details should match with "Income under Salary" under Tax details

You should file your return with help of Form 16, if there is some mismatch between form 16 and information available to you,
then fill correct information (deduction , exemption etc.) in  Income tax return

If you dont e-verify your original return it will be treated as not filed.

First e-verify the original return and then you can file revise return.

You can once again file revised return before assesment or upto one year from end of assesment year whichever is earlier.

E-verifying original return is most important.
