23 April 2012One of my bank have deducted 1649 amount as tds for last financial year for fds.
But while checking 26as form it states bank have deposited 1148 amount only .
So what should i do now?
I have the bank interest certificate should i go according to it .Or via 26as form?

Okk but banks will also deduct the amount .So should i bring to banks concern?Or TDs deposit to govt via bank is still pending?

Dear,wait for March qtr TDS return,If your TDS doesn't mach with 26 AS.Then Meet the Banker ,They will revise the return.This happens

Wait for few days. Bank may not have filed E-return so 26AS is not updated accordingly. You have enough time to file your return i.e. 31st July 2012.

Its better to wait for the bank to correct its position.
You may still go ahead taking Form 16A as the proof, though you will get deduction as per 26AS only.
