i wanna complete my c.a and then pursue a m.b.a frm a good business school.

is there any alternative path which would endow me with more career skills?

if you can do mba(finance) after CA its really gud... otherwise you can go for cwa or cs ....after doing ca you will find them quite easy....

if u want to do an MBA after completing ur CA then go 4 TOP 6 IIMS ..if u get that then it wud be gud.....otherwise do CISA/CIA from UK..it will really add value to u ....or try to update u with indian AS,AAS as well as UK,US GAAP,IFRS etc etc..

you can do one international course like CFA along with CA and MBA,it will be very good...

hi...i m a CA..can anyone tell me how to gather knowledge about stock market...where to invest...etc...and at initial stages whicj option should we opt...going for BIG 4 or in indutry from growth point of view.....if industry then wich type,,...banking,investment banking,consultancy..etc etc....

My Suggestion to you ...do your CA ..forget abt MBA ...you will make more money if you are a specialist not an all rounder. The reason that MBA's are better placed than CA is because they get good exposure in public speaking ...they have a better command in english and they have been taught by some very Experienced teachers from abroad ...these things do matter ..but then if MBA was so important for you why you want to do CA ...they both are different professions ...What a CA can do MBA may or may not be able to do ..What an MBA is capable of doing a CA may not be capable in doing that ... Think again what exactly you want to do ...if you want to practise on your own ...CA is the line for you ...if you want to get in the industry i guess an MBA will be a better option ...by doing both u will not gain much ....just adding degrees in your CV is stupidity ....get value in your profile ...start doing things that will add value to what you are best at ...not following the world .... for eg if I have a service tax query i will go to a service tax expert not an all rounder or an MBA ...i hope u have got my point .....GST will be coming by 2010..research on this .should be a great opportunity for people like you to excel in this field. I can asure you with in next 10 years A CA will be more respected and paid more than any MBA ..and this can be achieved by your help ..so think abt it ...its your future ....BEST OF LUCK

Hey sh*tij.....same advice here...thats what i was asking....refer to your quote "What a CA can do MBA may or may not be able to do ..What an MBA is capable of doing a CA may not be capable in doing that".....why to lack in any skills???/isn't it???

Prasoon my point is if you feel MBA is better then do MBA ..doing both is not the correct approach ..my suggestion to you was the same ...well this issue is very subjective ...i have just given my opnion..

U CAN DO CWA CS AND CIMA ALONG CA THN WHY AFTER CA..U CAN DO ANY OTHER COURSE AFTER CA..TRY FOR MBA FINANCE FRM IIM'S OR DO CIMA..OR START EARNING THTS GOOD FOR U
