I’m a practicing Chartered Accountant having a total post qualification experience of almost 9 years in various firms.
My post qualification experience commenced after qualification as a Chartered Accountant in January 2004 with Grant Thornton, one of the largest non-Big 4 consulting firms in the Management Assurance and Risk Services division. After working for over two years in Grant Thornton, I moved on to Ernst & Young, a Big 4 consulting firm, wherein I was a part of the Risk and Business Services. Prior to joining practice, I had a one year stint with American Express, one of the largest BPOs in the country.
During the last 9 years, I have gained considerable experience in the domains of Finance, Audit and Technology. I have obtained various professional qualifications including Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). I have also completed two premier certifications in the field of IT audit namely Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) conducted by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association, US and the Information Systems Auditor (ISA) conducted by ICAI, having secured All India Rank 2. I’ve also done NSE’s certification in Financial modules. I've also qualified the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) course.
I have been teaching Information Systems Control and Audit (ISCA) to CA Final students over 3 years year now, to help them achieve similar qualifications. I believe in teaching through PowerPoint presentations, as visual display helps the students in understanding and memorizing the concepts better. Also, my structured notes enable students to attempt the questions in a correct and concise manner. I endeavour to finish the syllabus on a fast track, which gives students adequate time to prepare for the exam. I was also the Faculty at the ICAI Vishwas Nagar Institute for over a year.
