Surinder Narain Ahuja is a seasoned professional with 50+ years of work experience under his belt in the areas of sales, marketing, training & performance development, mentoring and career counselling apart from working on key strategic initiatives with regard to mergers and acquisitions.

Surinder worked with Wyeth Lederle (a multinational pharmaceutical company) for 38 years in several sales profiles, leading the Northern & Western Region as the Associate Director (Sales) managing a strong team of 470+ sales professionals. Surinder retired from Wyeth in 2002 as the Associate Director for Training & Performance Development. A star performer, Surinder won several awards and recognitions during his tenure with Wyeth.

Post retirement, Surinder started sharing his learnings and experience with employees and students of various reputed Organizations, Professional Bodies and Educational Institutions, covering areas / topics like selling skills, resume writing, group discussions, interview, communication and other interpersonal skills.

Holding a Post graduate Diploma in Marketing & Sales (from Faculty of Management Studies) post completing his Honours in Zoology from the Delhi University, Surinder is also a Certified Trainer (Train the Trainer) from the American TESOL Institute.

Surinder has been a visiting faculty for Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for the last 10 years and has recently been appointed as visiting faculty at the Institute of Marketing & Management, New Delhi for the new PGDM Batch started in 2013.

In the last 12+ years of his training experience, Surinder has trained more than 30,000+ Chartered Accountants and Hundred's of Sales & Marketing professionals, MBA's, Engineers and Pharma professionals.

On February 22, 2014, Surinder has been awarded the "2013 Annaul Award for Best Faculty of GMCS of NIRC of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India" (GMCS is the General Management and Communication Skills training that all Chartered Accountants undergo for various regional councils of ICAI including the Northern India Regional Council)

Training History

Surinder's journey in handling Training & Performance Development for Wyeth India started in 1998, where he:

• Conducted Training Programs for all levels during mergers (Wyeth Lederle and Cynamide)

• Conducted special Training Program for Director Distribution and Exports

• Actively participated in various Continuous Medical Education Programs on Hormone Replacement Therapy – interacting with Doctors and Public in various states of India

• Organised and participated in various refresher programs across all management levels

 Post retirement in 2002, Surinder took on professional engagements in training covering:

• Selling skills in various pharmaceutical companies

• Interpersonal skills with various branches of Institute of Charted Accountant of India as part of its General Management and Communication Skills training (GMCS)

• Counselling and professional guidance to promoters and senior management of business houses covering departmental stores and property consultants

• Guest lectures to practicing Chartered Accountants for ICAI Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad

• Senior Leadership sessions at various leading organizations
