i was a manufacturer, availing the modvat in excise. I surrendered my central excise registration in this financial year 2012-13 in the month of october 2012 due to poor economic condition, my turnover was less than 50 lacs (i was availing modvat since the day one i.e.from 1st april 2012 to October 2012). now i am getting some orders. i want to ask that can i manufacture and sell the goods without central excise registration in this financial year 2012-13. I have a valid central sales registration till date.
