Correction in Effective Date of Customs Notification

S.O. ...(E) - In notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department  of Revenue) No.16/2026 – Customs (N.T.), dated the 02nd February, 2026, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) vide S.O. 474(E), dated the 02nd February, 2026, in Para 2, for the words, letters and numbers, “2nd day of February” read,  “3rd day of February”.

FAQ :

This notification is a corrigendum to correct an error in the effective date of a previous customs notification.

Customs Notification No. 16/2026 – Customs (N.T.) is being corrected.

The effective date in paragraph 2 of the notification has been changed from the '2nd day of February' to the '3rd day of February'.

The corrigendum was issued on the 3rd February, 2026.

The original notification was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) vide S.O. 474(E), dated the 02nd February, 2026.
