Shri Sachin Pilot Gives Away the National Awards for Excellence in Cost Management

Shri Sachin Pilot, Minister of Corporate Affairs, here today presented the 10th National Awards for Excellence in Cost Management to the corporates in 9 categories that have excelled in the field of cost management. The awardees are:

 

Category - I: Private-Manufacturing Organisation (Large)

 

1. Amararaja Batteries Limited       - First

2. Mahindra & Mahindra |Limited - Second

3. LG Electronics India Pvt. Limited - Third

 

Category - II:  Private-Manufacturing: Organisation (Medium)

 

1.  Marathon Electric Motors (India) Ltd. - First

2. TML Drivelines Ltd. - Second

 

Category III: Private -Manufacturing: Organisation (Small)

1. Jindal Pex Tubes Pvt. Ltd.

 

Category IV: Public - Manufacturing: Organisation (Large)

1. Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited - First

2. Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited - Second

3. Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited - Third

 

Category: V: Public - Manufacturing: Organisation (Medium)

 

1. Karnataka Soaps & Detergents Limited

 

Category VI: Private- Service Sector (Large)

 

1. HDFC Standard Life Insurance Company Limited

2. Blue Dart Express Limited

 

Category VII: Private - Service Sector (Medium)

 

1. L&T Chiyoda Limited

 

Category VIII: Public - Service Sector (Large)

1. V.O. Chidambaranar Port Trust.

 

Giving away the Awards, Shri Sachin Pilot emphasized the role of Cost Management Accountants in the current business scenario and said that this profession needs to be taken even to smaller cities and towns. Shri Naved Masood, Secretary in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and Additional secretary in the Ministry Shri M.J. Joseph also graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour and Special Guest respectively.
