Extension of CFC-MCA21 Scheme

MCA-21 CFC Scheme and Modalities

Cost Accountants in practice who meet the eligibility criteria prescribed under Certified Filing Centre (CFC)-MCA -21 Scheme launched by Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) for a period of 2 months w.e.f 01.07.2010, last date being 31.08.2010, has been extended for a period of 3 months w.e.f. 01.09.2010. Accordingly, the on-line CFC Manager Registration Form for intimation of details by eligible Cost Accountants in practice will be available on Institute website upto 30.11.2010.

Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has launched renewed Scheme for Certified Filing Centres (CFCs) to be operated by professionally qualified persons/Bodies to facilitate e-filing of documents under MCA-21, e-Governance Programme of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. The ICWAI members in practice are authorised to act as CFC Manager after approval by the Institute. On-line Application Form for approval by the Institute to act CFC Manager is hosted on Institute’s website at http://icwai.org/icwai/mca21/default.aspx. A Cost Accountant in practice who is already holding certificate to act as CFC is required to renew his/her certificate by paying Rs. 500/- (Rs. Five hundred only) as certificate renewal fee. A Cost Accountant in practice, who fulfills the eligibility and qualifications criteria, may apply to Institute for the certificate to act as CFC Manager by paying Rs. 1000/- (Rs. One thousand only). After filing up the application on line at Institute website, the members are requested to take out the print out and sign the application, attach Demand Draft or Cheque (only Delhi local clearing cheque are acceptable) (in favour of Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India, payable at New Delhi) of the requisite fee of Rs. 500/-(for renewal)/Rs. 1000/- (Fresh Application) as the case may be and send it at the following address for approval of your application by the Institute to act as CFC Manager under MCA 21 e-Governance Programme:

1. All the applications received by the Institute shall be verified for consistency of the information submitted by the Applicant before forwarding it to Ministry of Corporate Affairs on fortnightly basis.
2. Status of Application can be checked at Institute website:http://www.icwai.org/icwai/mca21/cfcstatus.asp by entering Membership number and Date of Birth of the Applicant after 15 days from the date of submission of application form to the Institute.
3. After receipt of authenticated application form by MCA from the Institute, it will approve and intimate the approval to the ICWAI, who will in turn issue formal approval to the applicant by e-mail.
4. After receipt of approval from the Institute, the Applicant now can proceed to fill-up online application form after downloading it from MCA website: http://www.mca.gov.in/MCA21/dca/cfc/CFCCorner.html
