There is no direct remedy in the act or rules of your query, better write a letter with all documents and evidence and submit to the concerned authority.

move 226 writ at your jurisdictional high court, for mandamus.
always care is a must, if you are careless, naturally you call litigation, as there is no remey in that act, as that act needs either severability or quahing.

most laws lose their position if they do not give remedial positions clearly that way law makers fail, there cannot be any arbitrary position at all, if there is you have to move art 14 based under art.226 writ before relevant high court for mandamus.
