Wipro Announces Pre-Campus Hiring Drive for Finance Cohorts Wipro Corporate Finance is doing a pre-campus drive for CAs who have/will qualify in May�15 (results on mid Jul�15). The probable dates for the walk-ins that will be organized in Ahmedabad, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai & Kolkata. If you have passed Final in max 3 attempts and have >= 52% in Finals apply immediately CTC: 9L p.a. + 50K bonus for each rank in IPPC/Final. As I say, the corporates give preference only to rank holders or 1st attempter.

2nd and 3rd attempt will not get any job here.

And what about us,6th attempt ??

My knowledge in SAP, SAGE, JD Edwards is useless.

My articleship experience, where I was the audit team leader in the statutory Audit of Nectar Lifescience Limited, SBI Limited Chandigarh Circle and 20+ Mid Size Companies in various Industries is too useless.

My Communication skills are too useless.

My others skills like Financial Modelling, knowledge in International Taxation, IFRS are too useless.

The one time bonus based on the ranks shows the criteria of selection.

The recruiter did not even say that the candidate should have done his articleship seriously.

And then Mr. Premji says, " The quality of CA's are not good. Give me good CA's and I will hire them all"

To him, I would say, " Sir, your HR department is very naive. They are using the criteria of selection for CA, which is a copy paste of selection criteria of Engineers, BCA, MCA, MBA.If you are paying attention ONLY to ranks and attempts, your company is loosing a lot of talent."

So, what is the implied message from the corporate world ?

I will tell you.

"Always do dummy articleship and clear with rank, 1st attempt or in max 2 attempts.That is all what is required to get a package of 9 Lacs + Bonus."

If you still think that articleship is of utmost importance, please read the starting point of thread and concentrate on the conditions of selection as given by one of the biggest IT Company of India.

Hi abishek earlier passouts is not eligible for the cohorts conducted by wipro... but you may always try for the career option in wipro as a lateral

Hi abhisek The cohorts are only for the freshers... you may how ever try uf there are any vacancies for laterals

For the post by Mr Rashid, I would like to clarify that any company shall have their policies for recruitment.. Plz suggest a reputed company that just recruits any CA available for forgrab just without any merits And for your claim as to wipro would only hire a rank holder - i can vouch that is not the case. The best example will be my own case. I have never been close to becoming a rank holder nor I cleared in my first attempt. Proper merit was given for my articleship experience and i I would say it is my articleship experience that helped me land in wipro.There has been instances where the rank holders had been just rejected because they lacked other skills.The conditions set for shortlisting is just a nominal one for the kind of salary wipro is offering. It is my humble reqest to Mr.Rashid not to comment on things one is not certain about. If you have a better and practical criteria of shortlisting, you are always welcome to make suggestions.

Sir

I have been selected in the team cohorts in Pune campus placements. I have doubts about the job descripttion. Though the brochure says that we'll be exposed to Int. Finance, Tax, Valuation and Bus. Accounting, I have heard that only one of these will be allotted in the first year and another in 2nd year. Is that so? And will I have a say in selecting which of these sectors I get to work in?

And also what will be the general working hours?
