26 June 2022Hi, While claiming exemption under 80 TTB is allowed to be edited, 80 TTA is not allowed to be edited.
My bank included the savings bank interest in the given statement to me.
It is also correctly captured in prefilled entries, but I could not claim exemption under 80 TTA.

Hi, Is that correct. one is savings bank interest and another is FD interest.
So, A senior citizen cannot claim exemption on both the section. Is that correct.
I see different websites give different interpretations. One website, says, that upto 10000 Rs could be added and claimed as exemption in the first section. Please give me the correct link, where it is said that senior citizen cannot claim exemption under 80 tta.
