18 July 2017I get policy of icici life insurance with insured amt. Rs. 2,50,000 in 2007, and its premium was Rs. 24,000 p. a. and get premature amt. In 2016, Now pl. advice whether total received amt is exempted u/s 10(10d) and if it so, where to show this exemption in ITR.

Yes, tax-exempt u/s. 10(10D).......... declare under Schedule EI (exempt Income)

Do we need to file ITR2 only to show PPF intrest and life insurance maturity amount ?

Need not be ITR 2 only. These incomes can also be declared under ITR 1, provided it is applicable otherwise.........
