5% income tax rate above Rs. 250000 upto Rs. 500000...on taxable income

for ladies., (age less than 60)
Annual Income up to 2.5lac....tax nil
Income 2.5lac to 5lac ...tax @ 5%
5lac to 10lac...tax @ 20%
above 10lac ...tax @ 30%
If the income is 3.5lac or less then relief under section 87A will be give upto a maximum Rs.2500 of tax amount (means if tax is 5000 for income of 3.5lac then only 2500 need to be paid I.e., 5000-2500)

U r not required to file ITR if u hav not taxable income exceeding basic exemption limit... Now u can file 15-16 and 16-17 itr upto 31.3.18
