Urgent please help nov exam 14

Hello Friends,

Due to some problems I had to start delayed preparations for CA Final Grp-1 and Grp 2 for this Nov 2014 exams.. Please help me regarding this..... My concern is the 3 Subjects... FR, SFM and AMA....

Pl let me know for FR,SFM and AMA.. which all chapters i shoudl foucs and which chapters i can omit due to time constraint... In Other words ... Request to provide me Subject wise Chapters which i need to compulsorily study ... In AMA if i Study QT and Marginal Costing,TP, Along with theory questions can i secure a minimum of 40 percentage...?

Pl Provide Subject wise chapter name which i must study and which i can omit... Pl Give me Some Guidance... on The 3 Subjects... AMA SFM and FR... I have been giving exams for last 3 years.. So I hope to Quickly revise The Chapters Which will be suggested... Thanks in advance and Kindly Help me Friends...

Hi Raghav! I think u should concentrate majorly on any one group due to time constraint. I mean focus 100% on one group and do selective study for the other group. As per my experience and opinion u can follow the following strategy for those 3 subjects..... 1. FR Study all the Accounting Standards, all small chapters first. Then go for valuation and amalgamation. Practice few problems in these chapters at any cost. This will increase your speed and confidence. CFS can be revised at the last. That too just few problems. Whatever you study in FR study thoroughly bcoz anyway the question paper is always lenghthy and time may not be sufficient to complete the entire paper with 100% perfection. 2. SFM Finish off all the small chapters first like mutual funds, dividend policy, equity valuation, theory chapters, lease, bond valuation. Then go for merger and acquisition, derivatives, forex. Lastly you can revise capital budgeting and all formulae of portfolio management. Practice manual should be revised thoroughly at least twice. 3. AMA Firstly complete all the chapters of quantitative techniques. Don't leave any chapter in it. Selective theory should be revised. This part is very scoring. Then do transfer pricing, pricing decisions, 1st chapter from Study material, standard costing provided if you have studied it before also, and lastly marginal costing. Practice manual is must. All the best!! Just give your best and don't let yourself divert anywhere. Focus on only those two gem letters C.A.. Remind yourself all the time that this is your last chance to give your best.

Thank you Pooja ji for your valuable suggestions... Now after reading your suggestions i am able to get an idea of how to approach those 3 papers.... Really thanks a Lot.... Pooja ji.... Yes i will give my best and hope to clear the exams in this attempt... Thank you once again ...
