Urgent : ITR Excel Utility AY 2015-16

Please check if your macros are enabled and also if addons are attached to the excel program, if yes, you can open it in safe mode. Also you can check if the appropriate service pack is installed like SP3 etc depending on the Office version you have. You need to update to the latest security patches.

I am using . . Windows 7 SP1, MS Office 2003 and Macros are enabled too. !!

Everything goes well till the last stage while filling the data in the Utility. But when i Click on Generate XML this Error Shows up.

1) You need to have developer tab. For this File-->Options-->Customised ribbon--> check "on" the developer  box.

2) Developer (Vb) will come in menus -->click on Devp--> Visual basic

3) VB window will open up--> Click on tools--> reference-->Tick "on" Visaul basic for applications and the two libraries-- Excel and Microsoft office .

4) Now load the ITR-4 file in excel --> validate each sheet and at last calculate tax

the generate XML and save XML

5) upload X M L and everify as usual.

Hope this helps.  What i have told is for 2010 - but on similar lines do it for  2003

if it  doesa not work I think u should down load 2007 version od XL.

S.Shiroor, I found the things you suggested in 2003 version too and Both TICKS were already there.  So it didn't helped me.

I then Uninstalled the Office 2003 and then Reinstalled 2003 and 2007 both. And now it works.

I can generate XML without any Error.

You cannot do much trouble shooting with Errors reported  by Microsoft Products.....Except uninstalling and Reinstalling......Efforts to find solution to the errors reported by Mircosoft Products is sheer waste of time. You have done the right thing.
