Plz suggest me whether Uniform allowance get any exemption in case of u/s 10 under the head salary of the income tax act1961

Uniform Allowance (for purchase or maintenance) given by the employer to the employee is exempt u/s 10(14)(i) read with Rule 2BB, subject to actual expenses incurred (i.e. minimum of actual allowance received and amount spent for the purpose).

Thanx a lot sir.

So whatever amount paid by the company is fully exempted from tax u/s10(14) or there are any limitation.plz suggest me.

As said by Mr. Deepak ... if Allowance received is fully expensed off then no tax. eg. allowance 1,000 AND expenses incurred is 1000 or above 1,000 like 2000,3000 etc. then no tax. however if expended amount is INR.550 then tax will be applicable on balance INR 450/-
