Is this your first audit???? And yes to tackle this situation you should be more concentrated on your work,bank wale to chahte hi hai that you dont do your work and enjoy the mehman nawazi to the fullest..

As a customer whenever you visit to BANK (Whatever Bank) they do not entertain properly in first time till 2-3 times request specially GOVT banks. But you need to concentrate on your work and enjoy the mehmaan nawaji also. These are the days which will never come back DOST.

concentrate on ur work morrrr..  nd njy the mehman nawazii too. :-)

it is just to interupt your concentration. just concentrate on audit

well sumit,at first you should ensure yourself that u are getting all the information adequately necessary for your work.Then u should seek information & Explanations from responsibles.if u don't get this as i mentioned u should communicate with upper Authority,and if you are getting all information & Explanations there is no problem my freind Treat Bank Like Your "Sasural" and bank Manager being "Sasurji". and others amongst Management your sala sali etc.etc. Have a fun Yaar.

there are two situation for working happily with your client. don't become a fault finder become advisor for any improvement in the concern or show them that you are concerning with your work and not disturbing their daily work. believe me they will support you

Agree with Shaisav. I've experienced the same thing and it all activities done by staff only for diverting your mind from your actual duty, so first ensure that you are getting adequate and sufficient information and co-operation for your work. Good luck. 

Ignore that mehman nwaji Friends. this is creating bad image of auditors in the eyes of bankers, i have heard some bank employees talking  "Auditors bhookhe hote hain, khane peene aa jate hain." 

So Control yourself to maintain our image.

Dont worry Sumit. U r so lucky that this kind of client u hsve. To avoid the problem of interuption you can tell them quietly that if any help will require, u will ask them. But be careful that it is not going to affect ur relationship.
