Tds on database access, job listings, and logins

Dear members, Please clarify If a company pays to Quikr for online database access, job listings, and logins, would that be a contract or technical services, How much TDS should be deducted? Thanks

Hi Sasi,

Generally the recruitment agency are covered under rendering of professional services and hence TDS is to be made u/s 194J. TDS @ 10% is to be deducted.
The same will not be considered as a contract, since it does not include work like Advertising, broadcasting or telecasting, carriage of goods,catering, manufacturing or supplying of a product.
Therefore the above service will fall under Professional or Technical Service and TDS @ 10%

sir,
will quikr fall under recruitment agency as it just provides database and allows us to post job vacancies?
As it involves database ,i am considering to be technical service.

Hi,
Somewhat similar to recruitment agency not exactly.
Yes you can consider this as Technical Service as being online database access and TDS @ 10% under sec 194J Fees for technical service.
