Dear Collegues,

Could you please let me know about the TDS applicable to employees. If anybody have any material on this please forward to below mail with the rate of tax and applicable section. If it possible please suggest any good salary stracture for employees for Tax exemptions.

TDS is applicable to employee if his total salary income, after giving exemption, deduction for PT paid, investment u/s 80C, exceed Rs 1.10 lacs (in case of male employee)and Rs. 1.45 lacs (in case of female employee).Only by goinmg through all the provision of salary income, you can able to find best combination of salary that attracts lower tax liability. Suppose one can give medical reimbursement instead of medical allowance that is exempted upto Rs 15K per annum

It is just calculation of Income Tax return of Individual employees. You can add any income other than salary as told by employee but loss of house property only can be adjusted
