tax invoice or retail invoice dvat

Hi freinds,

please give me a suggesion on below topic.

can a cash purchase in delhi vat is eligible for input tax credit if dealer has issued a RETAIL INVOICE instead of TAX INVOICE., please reply i have to finish vat return process.

if the dealer has put your(buyers) vat number in the invoice, and mentioned your name / address then its eligible for input credit.,

Thanks a lot sir, by the way all purchases made cash only, taking safe side m not taking input credit on these retail invoices.

you cant take input credit on retail invoice,,,input credit is available only on tax invoice/vat invoice in which is written that input credit is available on orginal invoice
