Tally doubt

in the ledger book of a company there is a head that a name for example xyz expense i wan to to change it as labour chares there r 200 entries.. should I open all 200 entries and delete that expense or any short cut for all has renames as labour charges? thanks in advance...

Yeah, It i is very easy to change that ledger name of that particular ledger and so all the entries already made will be use with your required Ledger.

open any journal entry of that account and press enter till you reach that account name then press ctrl+enter and then rename that ledger.

goto gateway of tally....

then select account

then alter

then ledger

then select the ledger name you want to alter

rename it

end hit enter till screen is saved

thats it..

To alter you have to select Alter instead of Create option. & Since you have all ledger in same group you can alter in one go.

Yes, you can use very much. But in Tally.ERP9 latest release you can generate Receipts & Payments report, where as its not possible in earlier versions.
