Hi,
I want to surrender Service Tax Number of a partnership firm. Please tell me the procedure how to surrender. Also give the format of application, if any.

For surrender of ST registration following documents you required
1. An Application for Surrender
2.Orignal ST-2
3. An affidavit claiming that firm has no due of any service tax, interest and penalty
4.Copies of Last Four years ST-3
I have surrender one of my client service tax number and all this documents are required by Service tax department of Delhi.

Photocopy of all document should retained because it will take some time by department as they assess your liability if any

For online surrender of Service tax you have to apply online registration in service tax department they give u the Password and ID i get the form from department in FBD, after registration u log in in aces.gov.in there u will find the surrender option.
well, as i have not done online surrender so wait some one will put more clear picture for it.
