QUICK READING APPROACH

First give ICAI audit study a quick reading to understand the depth and figure out the efforts and time required for final preparation. You would appreciate that through this quick reading you would be able to figure out where extra efforts are required in audit subject and plan accordingly.

Make necessary notes or put suggestions or mark strategy for yourself on the study book during first reading. This task helps you to deal with audit subject later on during final preparation. Pre-condition for this first study is --- go ahead for quick study with a completely relax and chilled mind. Your main purpose behind this quick study is observation and formation of a plan to deal with audit.

During first study ride prepare a plan for final preparation. Also use scanner for making the plan. Later on use any good notes to prepare. Remember at this moment you have everything in your mind like what is imp along with basic idea of the topic and chapter.

SPECIAL ATTENTION TO SA AND AS

Also give special attention to SA and AS. Only good knowledge of SA and AS is not enough but you must understand the technique to apply SA and AS in audit practical problems. For this purpose refer ICAI suggested answers and observe the application of SA and AS to the problem. Another benefit of this task is—it also helps you to understand SA and AS in a much better way.

The suggestion above is based on my personal understanding and may easily be rejected or accepted by you. In any case please share your feedback.

All the Best and Regards

Really a very good piece of advice.

Several text books are also out in the market which give the same information contained in the ICAI material. However they are much better organised. Instead of quarrling on which text book is good and which is not you have to buy one and study completely from that. Have faith in the author. Do not get blown away by the advice your friends and seniors give. Every author is good in himself. Just have the confidence that you will make it through and you will certainly get through easily.

Totally agree with you Praveen.

You have rightly pointed out that one must have faith in author as every author is good in himself. Just give a good reading with focused mind and add some inputs from your side and you are through.

Too much expectation from the book or author is something I don’t believe in.

Thanks anyways for your precious comment.

Best Regards

Thanks very much Amit for your comment. Your question is quite valid. The best time to follow this advice is when you got yourself registered with course. In other words in the beginning when you have enough time to prepare and analyse --- give study material a quick reading. Later on there will be lot of exam pressure.

I know there are various difficult points in audit study. First understand am not suggesting for the final preparation from Audit study. Just give it a quick reading. Point or note the difficult portions or points and later on refer these points from other reference book.

Quick reading will give you an idea about topics and exact length of course. For reference purpose Surbhi Bansal Notes or Paduka both are good.

Sorry for asking question on out of topic but I thought you were the right person to discuss about this.

In Account paper of CA Final(New) a practical question from As-30 came.  ICAI had put it on its website that no practical question would come from As-30,31 and 32. So,would we get the marks. The question came 0f 12 marks.

Please reply.
