In case of allotment of shares by private placement do we need to pay stamp duty?? if yes what amount and in how many days ?

Stamp Duty is paid on Issue of Share Certificate and not on 'Allotment of Shares'. Stamp Duty on Share Certificate shall be paid at a rate prevailing as per different states stamp acts

It depends on State to State. Some states have online method, some states have offline method. Some states have both.
