Stamp duty

Hello sir I am into big complication and nobody is guiding me properly I need Ur help , my issue is , I bought a 1 bhk flat in navi mumbai in 2016 , I had Paid a stamp duty of 1,60,000/ on 5th march 2016 . due to some finance and health issues I couldnt do registeration of the said flat , I just want to ask you that should I continue doing registration or can I ask for the refund plz guide me thanks

As per Section 52 of Maharashtra Stamp Act, you could have claimed refund of the entire stamp duty less some minor deduction. However, one of the condition is that stamp duty payment should have been made within 6 months preceding the date of cancellation - in your case, the timeline has expired and you may not claim the refund. Please also take a second opinion on the matter.
