St input credit on works contract

kindly clarify whether Service tax input credit can be claimed by a IT company on st paid on workscontract service (civil works,maintenance and RCM)...

Cenvat credit of Service tax paid on works contract can be aviailed by IT company except for: In respect of construction of builiding or part /laying of foundation or making support of structures for support of capital goods : - Port - Other Port - Airport - Commercial or Industrial Construction - Consturction of Complex - Works Contract - Architect Services Experts please do provide your valuable feedback !

with ref to point # 5.eligible input services in the link: www.bcasonline.org/knowledge/topic_des.asp?893 please clarify wht point #3 means with regard to exclusions from the meaning of input services. Also clarify whether input can be claimed on rcm paid on works contract for new works, repairs n maintenence and other category of works contract. The company in in no way uses them for providing output services.
