Our office is having a rented accommodation for its operation and the property owner was not claiming service tax on his bill by mistage since April-2012. Now he has claimed the old service tax amount form us. My question is whether we should ask for a copy subsequent payment challan as an evidence of remitance to the Government?. The vendor has service tax registration no.
