Should i buy books for final law ?

Hello friends,

My CA Final attempt is due in May 2014 and I have just begun preparing for the same.

Yesterday I was just going to buy a reference book for Law subject meanwhile my room-mate said that the whole structure of this subject is going to change because of some Companies Bill is going to enact (and he went on saying that the bill was passing through parliament and etc).

What do you think now should I buy the book ?

My instinct says that I should go for it, because I do not want to lag behind in my preparation.

i am also in same situation...

i asked many of my friend and they all told me that dont wait for the amendment wat the are going to made in law, accounts or any other subjects...

and also if the do the are not going to change the whole sylbs...

so keep studying and dont waste ur time...

buy book and start studying...

If the bill gets passed in the Budget or monsoon session, it may in all probability become applicable for May 2014 examination. But, yes the million Dollar question is will it or will it not. In the interim you can study other subjects and by July - August you will get to know the status and plan accordingly for your classes or text book. If you still wish to study something from paper 4, then it is suggested to keep yourself occupied with the Allied Laws portion..... Seriously no one can give you an answer on this matter with certainty, even my suggestions are mere speculative, only the Parliament can provide you the answer.

I would suggest you to arrange an old book and start your study without any delay. As per suggestion buy new book which include answers for May 2013 exam.

I would strongly suggest you to use corporate law bare act for Final law.

u can atleast study allied laws and other portion of companies law that would remain unaffected by the amendment...also check for recent updates regularly....dont worry..

The Chances of Changes in Law for May.14 is Very Difficult.................As it has to get Passed first in Parliament then it also Requires approval of President...................After this Procedure ICAI may also take time to see and Print it..................But it looks Probable in Nov.14.
