Service Tax was paid in excess, by calculation mistake. Can it be adjusted against the liability of subsequent months.

Yes it can be adjusted against liability of subsequent month but you have to intimate details of the amount of service tax paid in advance to service tax department ( write a letter to Jurisdictional Superintdent of Central Excise) within 15 days of such advance payment and indicate details of such advance payment and details of its adjustment if available.
