Dear Sir,

Please confirm the rate of service tax applicable on the Security bill dated 31.05.2015 which was received by me on dated 02.06.2015 as the rate of Service Tax revised from 1st June 2015. The Service Tax liability is receiver.

services rendered in May 2015 effective service tax rate is 12.36.%If the security is a company or Firm they charge 12.36% and the entire service tax to be borne by the receiver and the provider is individual/HUF/Firm

The rate of applicable service tax will be 12.36%. The entire liability to pay service tax will be on the receiver of service if the receiver is a company and provider is an individual/firm/HUF.

01: Period of completion of work done 02: Date of bill raised. 03: date of amount received. If any two out of above three events held before 1st June, then old rate,ie, 12.36% will apply.... Or else new rate vl apply.
