Please suggest if a firm charged sevice tax from 01.04.2010 to a company and has applied for service tax no in 01.01.2011, is that firm has eligible to submit the service tax of previous months with the Service tax no issued in Jan 2011 by the dept., or not?? what is other implication in the case?
Please suggest me.

No need to submit return or pay tax because your turnover in p.y was below from exemption limit.
But once you start charging service tax it may happen that in any quarter service tax liability is nil than you have to file nil return.
