if there is a mistake in the assesses name in the original ITR e-filled
would there be any problem if he/she file a revised return to correct the same

No there will not be any problem. Assessee must file revised return to correct his name.

As u have stated u have e-filed the return then in that case the PAN has to be correct so Mr. Shuro's concern of the mistake not being a bonafide are rested...

Hi John,
Yes you can revise the ITR.
As per section 139(5), a return can be revised within one year from the end of relevant Assessment Year.
So, in your case you can revise your return within time and it does not matter what kind of mistake is that .
