Dear Friends

I need to file my friends return who is a doctor . He is paid as a consultancy charges in Hospitals .They Deducted TDS at the rate of 10% (194J) .In the Year 2016-17 ,they deducted around 9600 rs .Now i want to claim refund of that. She worked for 8 months in the year 2016-17

He do not have any other income

Please help on the above issue. I need to file the returns today

Show her income u/s. 44ADA........... i.e minimum 50% of profit under PGBP........... No books of account....... file ITR4

As no other income......... no tax liability would arise........ so, claim the refund..........

The doctor has to file ITR-4. Taxes deducted at source, taxes paid etc should be entered in the form. All taxes credited to the account of the doctor will appear on the internet under Form 26AS. After filling up the form if the doctor clicks on the button 'calculate tax', the entries in the form will show taxes payable by the doctor, taxes paid or credited and further tax due if any. If the taxes paid or credited is more than the tax due the difference will be shown as refund due. The form is now ready for filing. It should be converted into XML for efiling.
