Tomorrow we are gonna have a new president and the reigning, most unpopular, a despot MR uttam aggarwal; is gonna be booted out from the institute. According to my source; Aggarwal and Mr Amarjit chopra were not in speaking terms and Mr Chopra didn't like the dictator-like managing of affairs by Aggarwal. Well; most of Council MEmbers say this.
Sir, I would first like to request you to remove transfer ban which has been imposed by Aggarwal. The rules are very rigid. You can restrict to 3 in same city and if after that students take transfer; they should fulfill the existing conditions. you can also make the rule that the date of transfer and date of exam should be more than 6 months.
Another, very valid request is that; plz hasten up the process of reducing the articleship of PCC students to 3 years.
Friends; plz pour in your requests to the New PResident here. We should request the new president to help us overcome Agarwal's bungling of ICAI management.
Total thanks : 2 times

The new president should, in its 1 yrs. of job, try to make good changes and infact rectifications in the existing system of study. Removing transfer ban and sensiblazing results %ages should be his top priority.!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our New President should understand the genuine hardships faced by CA Students in not getting the much required transfers. Our past President unfortunately took one-sided view, neglecting the other side of students completely and made a very abrupt and harsh rules regarding transfer of articleship. Hope our New President would not follow suit.

i disagree; till march 27 2009; transfer was the only tool which helped us to have a lifeline to escape if the CA was abusing us; or to get more exposure.
Lemme revive an old memory. in british raj; there used a a draconian and illogical law; which used to outlaw an "entire" race or clan as "robbers, daaku". All the people of the race used to be huddled and kept in an unclean, filthy garrisons guarded by soldiers.
Can u relate that with transfer ban?
Natural justice doesn't mean punishing an entire set of persons for a fault of few. Yet, uttam claimed that he is doing natural justice by taking 6 years to decide on GTB scam.
