Dear friends,

I m bit confused in preparation for CA Final (Old Course) in the subject of Indirect Tax. The confusing part is that I am not able to judge the best book available for IDT. Whether I should choose Bangar OR Ajai jain's Notes OR V S Datey??

Please everyone come forward to help me on this issue.

If u have not more time then ajai jain is better BUT as per d requirement of Ques asked in last 2attempts ajai jain notes r not sufficient so better to take V S Datey bcoz u can find answers of all Q in this book. GOOD LUCK

Friends, thanx for ur response. But I have some problems.

1)  I purchased the present edition of BANGAR 2-3 days before and while comparing it with the previous edition of BANGAR book which I got from my friend, I came to know that lots of previous years solved questions are absent from the present edtion. May be this is because the publisher launched a COMPILER BY BANGAR FOR IDT from this attempt. There are some illustrations alse which are missing. So, if the absence of these previous year solved questions and illustrations doen not affects the book I will stick woth this book otherwise I have to get it change in few days for a better one.

2)  Whether the book as lenghty as DATEY can be revised in a day before exam??

3)  I havn't read the NOTES from MR. AJAY JAIN but as my friend Vidit Mittal said above that as per the requirement of questions of last 2 attempts the notes are insufficient.

Friends, kindly advice on these issues.

Thanx in anticipation.

Regards.

i don't think so.He's singhaniya for IDT . I think Bhangar is more than enough

the language is simple the case law coverage is extensive . Most of the concepts are well defined, and ots of illustrations wherever required

my only compaint with the book is the quality of paper used and the quality of binding

Vaidhyaaca, my friend,

U r right, that in previous edition the quality of paper used was bad and there were lots of illustrations but in this edition as compared to the previous one, the quality of the paper used is good but lots of illustrations and previous year solved exam questions are missing. I compared the previous edition which I have got from one of my friend with the present edition which I purchased recently. Please dear, advice me in this regard after checking this edition.

Thanx in anticipation.

I'm gonnna buy this soon and will check and tell u as soon as possible.

But in my opinion it is the best possible book available for the subject in exam point of view

The case laws mentioned there are more than enough and nothing more is required
