2. p , q r three cities the ratio of average temperature between p and q is 11 :12 , p and r is 9 :8 find the ratio between Q & R ??
p / q = 11 / 12
12 p = 11 q
*2/3
8p = 22 q/3
p / r = 9 / 8
8p = 9r
22q/3 = 9r
q = 9 r * 3 / 22
= 27 r /22
q / r = 27 / 22
q:r = 27 : 22
x = 80 / 7
y= 90 / 12 = 15/2
x / y =( 80/7) / (15/2)
= 80*2/(7*15)
=32/21
x:y = 32 :21
