provide them the audited accounts showing you have profits less than the maximum exemption limit.

u must have made tha accounts for the year referred by the IT dept.show the that u have profits less than the taxable limits or had incurred losses.thus the obligation to pay income tax and file return was not mandatory on your part.thus you had not filed the same. so please kindly acknowledge the same.
