HOW AN EMPLOYEE BENIFITED IF HIS EMPLOYER DEDUCT P.TAX? HOW CAN I CHECK ONLINE WHETHER COMPANY HAS DEDUCTED MY PROFESSIONAL TAX IN WEST BENGAL?.

professional tax is a type of tax which will be paid to government as you are doing a profession with a salary which falls under the PT slabs.

it is an obligation which is to be paid by any person who does a job.

you can check in your pay in slip about the PT deducted or at the end of the year you can check in form 16

Dear Friend,

Professional tax is the charge that government levy on employee because the government is making the infrastructure in which the employee can excecise his profession. So it is the charge on employee, that employer only collects and submits to government. There is no benefit to employee.
