Dear Professional Members,

A warm Greeting from the Ind AS (IFRS) Implementation Committee of ICAI.

As you may be kindly aware that a revised roadmap for implementation of IFRS-converged Indian Accounting Standard (Ind AS) has been finalised by the ICAI, for preparing Ind AS financial statements from April 1, 2016. The same been submitted to the Ministry of Corporate of Affairs (MCA) for its consideration.

In this juncture, where India is moving ahead to IFRS-converged Indian Accounting Standards environment, proper knowledge of IFRS and Ind AS is highly essential for our members and this will add huge professional value and opportunity for members in India and abroad. To enrich the knowledge of IFRS among the members, the Ind AS (IFRS) Implementation Committee has planned to conduct a number of certificate course across India and abroad.

The Committee is engaged in the following activities:  
 

• Formulation of Educational Material on IFRS-converged Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).

• Identifying domestic and international opportunities for members.

• Conducting intensive IFRS Certification Course in India and abroad.

• Conducting programmes, seminars etc. on Ind AS/IFRS across the country.


For the same, we are sincerely looking for the support from the expert professional members in our following activities:
 

• Strengthening Resource pool of Faculty

• Development of Learning  Material

• Development of E-learning materials - two types:  (i) E-learning on IFRS and Ind AS for batches in India and (ii) E-learning module on IFRS for batches abroad.


The members who are interested to be associated in the above activities are requested to respond by mail given below with his/ her profile indicating the areas of interest.

An extensive Certificate Course on IFRS is conducted by the Committee with sufficient classroom training and e-learning facility to make the members competent in this era of IFRS. This Course is conducted at various locations throughout the country and abroad. The Course aims at providing:
 

• Introduction of the concepts of IFRS/Ind AS

• Dissemination of knowledge on IFRS/Ind AS;

• Comparison of IFRS with existing Indian Accounting Standards;

• Issues in relation to IFRS/Ind AS;

• Conversion of Financial Statements prepared on the basis of Indian GAAP to IFRS


Announcement of  IFRS Certificate Course : 10 cities starting from 10th May 2014

The duration of the IFRS Certificate Course is 11 days of class room teaching (on Saturday and Sunday). CPE Credit – 120 hours (60 hours structured and 60 hours unstructured).

Participants have to complete the E-learning, Self-study, case study and Evaluation Test for successful completion of the course.
