PPF Account can be extended for another 5 years beyond normal 15 years - Does a person make deposit in the PPF Account during the extended period and should that amount qualify for deduction u/s 80C ?

Yes. It can be extended with contribution or without, both way. With contribution extention you can get the same tax benefits as earlier.
