Politics or patriotism

Politics has been treated as business by those who take part in it. Naturally in every family child follow what parent do. In most of the cases business in a family is inherited. This is why most of MPs and MLAs try that their son or daughter or brother or sister follows him and take his position irrespective of party they are associated with. Previously Nehru family was an exclusive illustration to quote with and now there are hundreds of such instances when existing MP, MLA or minister try his family member also to come in politics and occupy powerful position either during his life time or at least after his death.

After all family members of existing rulers also belong to 110 crore Indian family. There is no much pain if such thing happens democratically and in transparent and through justified process and as per acceptable norms and practices. Problem arises only when one try to impose his family member without the liking of general mass. Rabri Devi was forcefully given the seat of CM of Bihar by ousted corrupt CM Lalu Prasad Yadav.

It is worthwhile to note here that the moment one comes to power, he or she learns to live with dignity and gain some practicable knowledge and experience. In government offices or department it so happens most of the time. Meritorious officers are rejected in promotion process and officers with bad track record but good liasoning with bosses are preferred in promotion, posting and placements. After promotion it is but natural he or she gains tactics to survive and people start treating him better than those who despite having merit are rejected only because he did not flatter or handover gift to bosses.

Therefore as long as politics will be treated as source of income and means for accumulation of wealth, as long as voter will remain uneducated and politically unconscious, as long as judicial process will be managed and manipulated by powerful person (Money power, post & position power or muscle power) the unhealthy practice has to exist in the system and the general mass to suffer and become victim of wrong policies and wrong methods adopted by cheat politicians of the country.

Those who are unable to earn name and fame, money and wealth , power and position equivalent to thug politicians and corrupt officers will continue to hate and condemn the system and there is none to listen to them .India will never get rid of corrupt practices and inefficiencies of officers. We have to bear with those who rape our rights and privileges.
It hardly matters whether Nehru family is given much significance by Indian voters or by Congress men because no family or individual could manage to eliminate Nehru family even after more than 60 years of freedom.
It is pitiable that those who abused Indira and Nehru family during emergency have now become follower of Nehru family and praise and worship Sonia and Rahul. After all who will bell the cat?
Only remedy visible to be is that politics should not be allowed to be treated as profession or business. Patriotism and politics has to be made as synonyms. Army personnel are still treated as undisputed patriot in the country who sacrifice him and his family on the alter of India and Indian interest. On the contrary politicians meant to serve common men forget common men as soon as he or she is elected. There is no sense of accountability and responsibility in the mind of politicians, We must therefore try to evolve a system where politicians work as true army personnel and serve the country as true patriots. Tatas and Ambanis think for the welfare of their workers and the society at large and hence people do not hate growth of Tata or Ambani business. Such business family is honoured, respected by state government and central government too, not to speak of common man. There are hundreds of such family in the country whose members are worshipped in their area of work only because of their attitude and social image they have built. Unfortunately such politicians are rare and exceptional in the country.
