DEAR MEMBERS,

I HAVE RECEIVED GROSS ARREAR OF RS 626451 BEFORE DEDUCTION OF TDS. FOR THE FY 12-13, 13-14, 14-15 AND 15-16. IN FY 15-16.

ARREARS BIFURCATION IS AS UNDER

FOR 12-13 RS.101867 TAXABLE INCOME AFTER ALL DEDUCTIONS AS PER RETURNS FILED IS 626960 TAX ON 626960 IS RS.57054.

FOR 13-14 171429 776980 TAX 87958

FOR 14-15 187082 738560 TAX 74893

FOR 15-16 166073 799525 ( WITHOUT ARREARS OF RS.626451) TAX 87452 APPROX.

TOTAL 626451

PLEASE CALCULATE RELIEF FOR ME U/S 89..

Pl input your information to the sheet"Basic Input" in the attached excel sheet. It will generate Form-10E, Annexure-I and table-A for you.

sir actually according to me my relief is Rs.84751. and according to your calculator it comes Rs. 43455.

i know the reason for that.

actually calculator is not asking for the arrears for the fy 15-16. accordingly arrears figure in annexture 1 comes 460378 ( i,e of 12-13 13-14 14-15). BUT actually my total arrear is 626451.

i have also received an arrear of 166073 for fy 15-16 but calculator is not asking this figure to be filled anywhere.. calculator is only asking 12-13 13-14 14-15 arrears.

i will receive form 16 for fy 15-16 for 1421885 i,e including arrears. this figure is correctly filled in the annexture.. but 1 and 2 point in calculator is not showing correct figures.

i might be wrong somewhere so please correct me if it is...

Hi shobhit,

The income pertaining to the year 2015-16 will not be included as an arrear, even though the difference was received in subsequent months. Thus, the said income has to be included along with other income for the current year ie., FY 2015-16.

I hope this will make the position clear.
