Sir with due respect, any idea why ICAI is opposing ICSI to use the word "Chartered".( Refer the Rajya Sabha debate)

 

@ ICWAI it ask for the word " Management accountant"  and not "Management" .If Somebody is known as "Management Accountant" even a lay man can understant this in the contaxt of word account suffixed with it "accountant". It is not at all Confusing with MBA or something. If there is nothing like Management Accounting then why ICAI has Management accounting in it course content. Now argument might be it(Management accounting) is generic and ICAI or ICSI also have these subjects in their course then the rebut is ICWAI and ICSI also have Tax,Accountancy and Audit in the course content . So they should also be allowed to do Stat and Tax audit since it is also generic.

 

@ CIMA UK, you are correct sir , it is not a statutory body. But In other countries also Like Canada,Bangladesh,Pakistant and Srilanka they are Statutory bodies and are known as CMAs.

 

 

I think this topic has no end , we have discussed it in past many times.It is not at our level but both the Institute should respect and cooperate with each other. I must agree there sould be only one body for all this. Why create fight and confusion. GOI should merge ICAI,ICWAI and ICSI. No body is suffering but us the comman people.

Fisrt of all

CMA Canada is a private society. Management accounting is subject in CA cousre as well, I agreed with you, But there is company acount subject aswell, CAN we ask for The Institute of Company Accountant of India.

Chartred word is not patented by ONLY ICAI , Chartred Secretry should be allowed, But i dont think it is icai has objected.

Managemnet acounting is it self not defied by CIMA , they have clearified that it is not to be regulated like accounting profession, See the curriculam of CIMAand MBA , both are equal , they are sincer in their approach.

CIMA is not involved in Auditing not even cost audit, then why ICWA 

 

First we should define all the roles of respective bodies , then ok

So far rest countries are concerned , all of us know very well , they have copied from CIMA UK.

So, india do need to learn from this countries ? No Not att all.

CIMA is promoting Managemnet course in th world , Not in Uk.

We want indian cost account to rise , but at beating indian CA, ICWAIis required to negociate with ICAI,

Diffrent option may be explored

The Institute of Cost Management Accountant India ( ICMAI) ,which may be btter option for 

Removing the "And "word from Cost and management. we can explore diffrent options rather than confronting . 

I agree, Why not ICAI, ICWAI and ICSI be merged togather. Comman Body can conduct all the specialzation. Foundation and Inter Level can be kept same for all three and then it should be left to a student to decide what career he want to choose. This will not put full stop at somebadies career if he/she wants yo change the field later on.

I think this is not entertained by the Leaders of the Institutes since they donot want to loose their comforable postion putting the career of lacs at stake. ICWAI is more resposible for this then ICAI. In 1995 there was noise but both didn't agree. ICWAI opposed more strongly. 

 

 

And it's ture that ICAI is not letting ICSI to use the word "Chartered Secratary". Any Senior/experised ICSI member can tell you. This attitute of ICAI towards ICSI and ICWAI have made them come togather and provide exemption to each other's members.

Merger of Threee bdies need consent of all, which seems to be not feasible . Chartered secretry should be allowed. But it doeas not mean violation scope another institute

arey bhai..aap tension kyon lete ho..jo bhi hoga achha hoga..members and students of all the three institutes will remain same...only difference will be icwai and icsi will have better future then their past. Just be cool aap tenstion mat lo..

No tension yar , just making ca students aware of the fact,  ICWAI is gong against ICAI, See example of CIMA UK , how they are protecting CA UK , they them selves are restricted to not  be in audit and accounting regulation which is area of CA.

We wholeheartl support ICWA to be ICMAI , provided it should quit all the audit and attestationwork and handover to CA.

We want to cwa to be at global front ,but beating own brother in home, why double standard?

CIMA UK is always supporting CA UK.

hv u noticed the strategy of CIMA ? They are providing exemptions to CWAs as well as CAs just after passing a gateway test. They r may not hv statutory rights but MNCs are prefering CMAs over CAs for work like budgeting, forecasting, mis and even in general accounting. If icai is really serious, then they should do something. An Institute like Cima is growing in india only due to partial behaviour of icai towards icwai. Otherwise india has a real talent be it ca or cwa. But icai has always believed in monopoly. They always try to degrade icwai.

First of All, MNCs hiring CMA over CA or CWA because quality of CIMA UK is supposed to be better than CA or CWA India . Industry has such kind of perception for CIMA UK. They prefers CIMA UK not because of statutory recognition.

IF  ICWAI want to be alike CIMA mere name change , it is politics and double standard. ICWAI first  give  up all its statutory attesttation function to ICAI. Then , see no body will object except some cost accountants who are having double standard.

ICAI is degrading ICWAI , it is your inferior complexity . Can you tell a single country in the world , where CMA have been more power than CA or CPA.

Take the US examples , how their law is strict, they never listen any body execpt CPA  for public acccounting , it is the Big BOSS there. Have found CMA US to speak against CPA US. IT is our liberal stand so far.

CMA US also accept CPA US  as super big boos.
