one of my colleague has houisng loan, the construction of housing started in the month of april 2009.
he told me to show the pemi interest in forn no 16 to reduce the tax,
with some confusion i forgot to show the pemi int in form no. 16
whether he can show the details enclosing the xerox of housing loan when he was filing the ITR
the PEMI interest amount is 183687/5=36737
Please help me

The House property construction must be completed; it must be ready for use. Then only Pre construction interest will be allowed. There is no problem you can mention directly in the return of income
