yes interest will be charged as tax about is not received by the department.
you should make another payment transaction.
Later on your previous will be canceled and refunded directly to your back account or in case not refunded and deposited to the department account then you have apply a refund to department as double payment would be done.
so better to pay tax timely to avoid interest or/and penalty .
