Pan card of non resident

Dear Experts,

One of the assessee individual stays out of India and wants to apply for a Permanent Account Number in India. I have downloaded offline Form 49AA and have certain questions for which I need clarification so that successful and uninterrupted allotment of PAN can be made. Can you please answer below questions:

(1) In Point Number 7 , 8 and 9 of Form 49AA , can I mention the residential address, address for communication, telephone number and email address  of assessee's relative who stays in India or is it mandatory to mention the perfect details of the assessee himself (i.e outside India)?

(2) In Point Number 15 of the Form regarding the proofs of identity and proof of address, whether just a "Copy of Passport" would suffice or any other document such as "Copy of person of Indian Origin" etc is required ?

(3) Is it okay if the PAN Card  is dispatched by the department to the residential address of the assessee's relative who stays in India or not?

I would be grateful to you for your prompt reply.

Thanking You in Advance.

Best Regards,

1) No, for residence address you have to fill out his address in foreign nation ( you can give Indian address if he has place of his own)
For communication you can give relatives address.

2)As he is staying outside India a copy of passport attested by indian embassy in that foreign nation or copy of bank account attested by embassy in that nation.

3) yes it is okay if pan delivered to relatives.
if communication address also of foreign nation then additional fee 850 to be paid

Thanks a lot Rajesh for your reply.

Best Regards,

Dhrunil Bhatt
