How do we pay the demand interest raised u/s 220(2) online? I have heard that it has to be paid through challan 280. But my doubt is that where do we put the amount - in 'penalty' or 'interest'?

For penlaty a show cause notice is given as to why the same should not be levied. It is levied by the AO and not suo moto
Your amount will be under interest
