Name change
suppose name of company has changed and PAN has also allotted in new name by income tax department in July,16.
Please advise in above case, income tax return of the company for the A/Y 2016-17 will have to file in new name or old name?

it has to be filed with new pan No.
But if any TDS was deducted than first get that corrected.
But name has changed in AY 2017-18, how can we file return for AY 216-17 in new name
sir, only name have changed but entity is same.
when you will report old pan no. NO record of company would be in existance in goverment database,.
or you can call income tax helpline , for final verdict
